Toxic shame, also known as internalized shame, is, frankly, a bitch. I’ve been in therapy for years and I’m just now realizing what an absolute choke hold it has on my life and how deeply I’ve been affected by it. But I’m also realizing that there are ways to heal. For me, “dramatic” is a big one. I discuss it more in my video this week for HealthyPlace: Healing Toxic Shame from the Past.
