How to Ask for Help, on HealthyPlace

Over the last decade, I have struggled with depression, anxiety, executive dysfunction, suicidal ideation, extreme sensitivity, and a deep-seated sense of self-loathing, and if you think I survived all that on my own, you are deeply mistaken. It’s taken me some time, but over the years, I’ve learned how to reach out to my support system for help on my bad mental health days. There were a lot of reasons I avoided asking for help at first, but time and experience has shown me that asking for help is almost always better than struggling alone.
